We have many music program fundraisers throughout the year. Some of our fundraisers accrue directly into to student music accounts and others accrue to the LMPA general account. Funds in student accounts are used to pay for music program expenses including music program t-shirts, method books and trips. Funds in the LMPA general account are used to the benefit of all music students at Lansdowne. Examples of past purchases include the purchase of a marimba, baritone saxophone, timpani, portable music stands, tuners, a sound mixing board, and a conducting podium.

Volunteers are needed to help with fundraising efforts at the concerts. Please email lansdownemusicparents@gmail.com if you can donate goodies for the bake sale or help for a short time during intermission or before the concert.
Bake Sale!
Baked items needed! Please bring baked goods to the concert and drop off at the bake sale table before the show. Individual packaging and ingredient labels are appreciated but not mandatory.
Several volunteers are needed to organize the bake sale tables prior to the concert, and to sell donated items before the show and at intermission. Volunteers will not miss the performances.
50/50 Raffle!

Save-on-Foods Gift Cards
You can purchase Save-on-Foods gift cards in $50 denominations. For every card purchased, $3 will go into your student's fundraising account and can be used for tours and any other music related activities.
To buy Save-on-Foods gift cards please send an e-transfer to lansdownemusicparents@gmail.com and in the notes field include “Save-on cards,” your student's full name, advisory number, and your email address. We'll email to let you know when the cards have been delivered to your child.

Red Barn Gift Cards are sold with a loaded value of $100. For every card purchased $9 goes into your student's fundraising account and can be used for tours and any other music related activities.

Fairway Market Gift Card Fundraiser
Fairway Market Gift Card Fundraiser
Fairway Market Gift Cards come with a $0 balance. Visit any Fairway Market and load the card with the amount you want before shopping.
Funds raised from these cards go into the general LMPA fund which is used for music supplies, and concert related expenses.
The card is reloadable and can be used all year when your student is attending Lansdowne. The cards do not expire. You can continue to support the Lansdowne Middle School music program even after your student graduates by reloading and using the card!
To obtain a Fairway Market gift card please email lansdownemusicparents@gmail.com and include a request for a Fairway card, your student's full name, advisory number, and your email address so that we can email you letting you know when the card has been delivered to your student.
Plant Sale Fundraisers
The LMPA is teaming up with Growing Smiles to bring hanging baskets, plant and veggie starters and other spring plants to brighten your spring garden and home!
Please place your order by April 27th. Remember to note the student you are supporting so we can get your order to you and the fundraising amounts into their fundraising account. Credit card payments (no additional fees added) are made through the Growing Smiles website:

Delivery will be Tuesday May 12th at the South Campus - pick up from 3:00-6:00pm. We will need 3-4 volunteers to help organize and distribute orders. Please let the LMPA know if you have an hour or two available to help.

Hey chocolate lovers! Our Purdys Spring fundraiser is coming soon, up to 30% of your purchase goes directly to your child’s individual fundraising account. Everything is made in Canada and packed with care at the Purdys Vancouver chocolate factory.

Important note: The proceeds of any order without a student name associated will go into the general account, not the student’s individual account. To avoid this, please place your student’s full (first and last) name in the FIRST name field, and the Customer’s full name in the LAST name field.

Fernwood Coffee Fundraiser
You can purchase delicious freshly roasted coffee beans from a local coffee roaster, Fernwood Coffee Company. The coffee they produce is organic and fair trade certified, which ensures that coffee farmers get paid a fair price for their efforts. As a small, local company they strive to be involved in their community and are committed to socially and environmentally responsible business practices.
If you or other family members drink coffee on a regular basis, please support your child’s band/strings fundraising efforts by purchasing coffee beans! For the very competitive price of $17/lb you will receive a fresh 1 lb bag of locally roasted coffee beans and your child will be able to add $5 to their individual music account for each pound ordered. This year we have 5 lb bags available for $85, with $25 going towards the student's music account. Payment can be made by cash, cheque, or e-transfer.
Orders are usually placed the day after the deadline, with delivery taking place the following week, depending on Fernwood coffee's timeline for fulfilling the order; volunteers then bring the order to the school and the office staff graciously help distribute the orders between the campuses and into the music rooms as soon as they can!

Please put all your child’s orders (for example, from other friends or relatives) on one monthly order if possible, rather than on multiple forms.
E-transfers are sent to lansdownemusicparents@gmail.com - no security question is needed. Please include the word “coffee” and the student’s name, grade and advisory in the memo of the e-transfer to ensure your student receives the fundraising credit.

LATE FORMS cannot be processed as it takes time to reconcile payments with orders, and the group order is placed as soon as this is done.
Coffee beans will be delivered to the music rooms for pick up by your student as soon as possible after they are received from Fernwood. An announcement will be made at school when the beans arrive. Remind your student to be on the look out for your beans if you have placed an order that month!
